American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Fremont is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Fremont follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is the BEST store with amazing service, the ladies here literally MADE MY WEEK!!! I purchased a lovely bespoke gift basket thanks to Barbara and Amanda who helped me come up with a custom solution when I told them that the website had run out of a certain gift basket. Barbara told me, “don’t worry, pick what you want and I’ll make it look pretty.” And she really did!! she found the perfect Easter themed basket and lovingly wrapped everything with cellophane and a beautiful white and gold bow, and Amanda went to the back and found the perfect straw for arranging everything and rang me up as Barbara put on the finishing touches. I could feel the love and care and joy they have in making special moments. I would recommend this See’s to anybody who is looking for a gifts for special occasions!

If you’re in the Fremont-Newark area and want to buy delicious chocolates for gifts or for yourself, this is the place. While there are other locations, I hadn’t seen one near here. See’s Candies has an excellent variety of chocolates with great quality for the price. The service is average and the store is small but well-stocked. I couldn’t take a photo, but the lollipops are a must-try.

The service here isn’t that great as the other See’s Candies stores that I had been to. The lady staff in this store isn’t that enthusiastic in promoting. Didn’t really have any samples after purchase.
